Shawnice Meador, Senior Director, Global Talent Management at Wolfspeed spoke to students, faculty and staff on the Utica campus about “The Power of Personal Branding“.
Shawnice Meador has more than eighteen years of progressive corporate and higher education experience, including leadership roles in strategic talent management & acquisition, career management, leadership development, Six Sigma process improvement and engineering, at General Motors, General Electric, Progress Energy Corporation and UNCKenan-Flagler Business School.
Shawnice joined UNC Kenan-Flagler in 2012 as a staff member of the newly-launched MBA@UNC. In 2014, she became the head of career & leadership services for all working professionals at UNC Kenan-Flagler. Shawnice and her team design and lead all programmatic and consultative career management, leadership development and employer relations services for 1,000+ EMBA and MBA@UNC working professional students, as well as career management and employer relations services for 34,000+ alumni worldwide. Shawnice acts as an Executive Coach for the School’s Global OneMBA Executive MBA student population, and manages the Executive Coaching program across the working professionals MBA space. She is also the Chair of the Cross-Program Career Services Council formed in 2014, with executive sponsorship from the Dean of the Business School.
Meador earned her B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan, and earned her MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business Weekend Executive Program in 2003.
